The Plan

Little C is a brand new district, with serious character and soul, a “village” within the city. In addition to spacious and flexible office spaces, you’ll find everything you could possibly need for your working day.

Buzzing
With its 15 buildings, Little C has a distinctively personal dimension. It boasts lots of narrow streets that spill onto intimate squares adorned with plenty of green. A terrific place to recharge your batteries. And that’s not to mention the park that borders the Coolhaven, which is the ideal place for a stroll or a pleasant conversation. Inspiration from vegetation, as it were.

Well-connected
Close to The Clark and The Scott is a footbridge over ‘s Gravendijkwal, connecting the Little C Workspaces to the Erasmus MC. Just around the corner you’ll find the cultural hot spots in Rotterdam’s Museum Park, such as the Kunsthal and the New Instuituut. And scattered around the Park near the Euromast you’ll find restaurants – Michelin-starred or otherwise – where you can entertain your business partners.

Catering facilities here are excellent. In the central area you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, a healthy lunch or a few social drinks, with outdoor seating extending onto one of Little C’s cosy squares. There are other facilities too. Like a gym for example, where you can thrash out the stresses of a working day, or communal areas where lectures and other cultural activities can be held.

Everything focused on making living
and working more amenable.

  • Inspiration on demand
Greenery translates to clean air, tranquillity and inspiration. Trees, flowerbeds and climbing vegetation on the buildings’ facades make Little C seem like an oasis in the centre of the city. Research has shown that a green environment makes you more creative and productive.

The Architect

CULD’s Jaakko van ’t Spijker, the architect who designed Little C: “We were aiming for the ideal interaction between buildings and public spaces. The sustainable reconciliation of urban projects and landscape spaces into natural, social ecosystems. These all meld together perfectly in Little C.”

“Our starting point was to add value to the city of Rotterdam. Create a neighbourhood with a character all of its own. Small-scale and friendly, but trendy too – and a perfect shoe-in with its immediate environment. A place where living and working go hand-in-hand and complement one another. Somewhere that’s vibrant and generates energy. A ‘village’ with the heartbeat of a metropolis. That’s Little C.”

“Everything in Little C is connected, forming a complete whole. That’s very evident in the walkways that connect the residential buildings. It’s also obvious in the general appearance and choice of materials.”

International allure
“Working in Little C means working in a truly unique environment. It’s like nowhere else you’re likely to find in the Netherlands. In fact, in terms of configuration and architecture, it is so very un-Dutch. It’s a location for enterprising people who know exactly where they want to go, while staying connected to the neighbourhood. The perfect place to make great things happen.”[/readmore]
